His nostalgic view of a United that no longer exists does them no favours. They need a manager who is looking to the future, not constantly harping on about the past.
van Gaal then?

AgreedThey could really improve their squad by getting rid of his influence and selling him, providing they then invest the proceeds wisely.
Thankfully we all know that they aren't smart enough for that and jolly old Ed Woodwood will probably splash it on two championship level players and a foreigner who doesn't want to be there. A club with more competent people at the heml would definitely use it as a key opportunity to turn things around though.
Exactly. When it was pointed out that ‘Ole’ has done ok in a sub standard league and relegated Cardiff , they just repeated ,”yeah but he GETS the club”.It would be like us having Paul Dickov as manager for the same reasons. Similar managerial expertise to be fair
I wonder who will be the next manager ?
No they don't!!His nostalgic view of a United that no longer exists does them no favours. They need a manager who is looking to the future, not constantly harping on about the past.
Can't do anyone any good to have Ole constantly evaluated through the prism of Ferguson as Stones has done here in his "analysis" of the press conference. According to him though it was almost a masterclass.

I liked the "quite well" comment; talk about being damned by faint praise!I read that and thought it was weird having an assessment of a manager's performance, rather than what he said. That the best Stone could come up with is "didn't do harm" is a bit lame, while also commenting that some things were just not true.

From Olly...
"We're Manchester United, we don't have to sell and don't have to overpay. You have to have the right players at the right price and if you look at the squad we've got now there are so many good players."
Ole a fcuking amateur and no one is asking the question?!
“ole is your managerial credentials good enough for this MASSIVE club in the whole world?!”
