Seriously - his contract was winding down so they had to offer him something. But lets assume they had no agreement - who would come in for him this summer? I dont see any big team wanting him - Every top 4 club has better strikers and he wouldn't get a game for Arsenal. Can't see him going to Spain or Italy. So assume he runs out his final year where does he go then? He wouldn't have a lot of clubs falling over themselves to pay him that money, his form would have to improve. So why do it now? Madness

Totally in agreement. The club is a fucking train wreck football wise.

Basically BBC and fellow rag pr media outlets tell wages or a fee re Utd, just add 10 to 15 percent for the real cost
