And the BBC saying 200k a week. They even managed to get to the 50 to 55 million fee for the 3rd right back in 3 years down to 45 million already.
Basically BBC and fellow rag pr media outlets tell wages or a fee re Utd, just add 10 to 15 percent for the real cost
Whether it's £200,000 or £300,000 per week, that's an astonishing amount of money for a 1 goal in 3 striker at best. Bet it took him a whole microsecond to agree to that!
I actually don't think he's a bad player but he's a mile off top drawer.

Even most united fans, certainly the ones that actually watch football know that he’s trash. just decent pace and a semi-powerful shot and nothing else. Hilarious enough that a top 7 side is willing to let him be their main striker, even funnier that they’re willing to pay him that much. I’d be slightly more fearful of them with lukaku upfront than Rashford.

I actually think Lukaku will be really good for his next club, wherever that is. Assuming he bothers to get back in decent shape he should be much better away from the trash football they play over there.

Why so much? Has there ever been rumors of other clubs seriously trying to take him?

You have to manage your wage bill and that means you don't throw cash at every player - you throw cash at players that other clubs want and will try hard to get. Even they you draw a line and say we can't give you that much, go if the fee is right. I'd be surprised if we were offering Sane that money and he is twice the player.

They wonder why they have a squad of dead wood they can't shift...

The guy has very obvious limitations but he does score goals and if played to his strengths does at least offer a threat.

The united fans trying to convince themselves this is great news are optimistically hoping for 15 goals from Rashford next season. 15 goals from your number one striker on 300k a week? Imagine if Aguero returned just 15 goals in an injury free season, or kane the same? No wonder they’re so far behind if that’s the expectation.

Bet you're glad that Woodward doesn't work for you.
