Radio 4 last night had a very interesting programme about 5G. I started with a father claiming his daughter was sick through it and now sells goods to protect people such as a modified mosquito net for over a bed at £3000. Now got a turnover of £3M. Next a mad professor claiming he had lost his virginity at 5 to some sort of alien. He was not as mad as you might think as he is selling USB memory sticks for £300 same as you get in a shop but with a magic sticker to ward away dangerous rays. Lots of stuff exposing the bollocks of other charlatans
Good old BBC l thought. Not like their sport section.
Then came on a 20 min profile of St Marcus.
In rapid succession we heard
His mum saying that at 7 months he used to watch united from his cot.
His primary school teacher saying that he and another kid used to play the rest of his class at lunch time and beat them.
The woman from the FareCare charity talking his football skills at 7. How did she know if she only met him last week.
In between all this was that bloke from Fletcher Moss bigging up united at every chance but saying that from age 11 Rashford was in digs near the training ground. Surely he would have been well fed by his landlady and at school in Sale
After 5 mins of this crap l turned off before David lcke came on to say something even more ridiculous. I nearly tuned in to talkshite.

I am inclined to agree. They could have drafted what was said on the programme. But it worked. Those fooled by it will realise in time. Rags have to work hard now the nivea boys are the new poster boys.

@Mike Cledford When the love in was in full flow I pulled out of the thread and refused to reply.
They are registered in a tax haven, paying diddly squat at a time when the NHS/Government need tax revenue. Despite 800 million being spent they are 5th. Their big star is being paid by the Rags to wander round Italy whilst their second biggest one doesn't want to play but has no choice. Their keeper and star defender have just been thrown under the bus that Keane wouldn't allow them to get on and there is no light at the end of the tunnel that says they will improve. So, whilst I accept Sir Marcus may have decided himself to undertake this campaign, to me it smacks of the PR department cobbling together the whole thing and a compliant media spewing it out.
