Hey, come on, didn't they get a CL place. Next season MANUre v Cluj, Valletta, and En Avant Guingamp will make up Uefa's group of death.

And therein lies the real benefit of all those penalties. It's got nothing to do with achieving 66 points or improvement on the orevious season, those penalties have "earned" them around £100m plus which, long-term gives them a huge undeserved advantage over their competitors and helps to ensure their continued financial superiority. A shameful scandal to which we are expected to join the media, cough and politely look the other way. It stinks.

Yep.

And....finally...what do utd fans think of brian riggs shagging his brothers wife for 7 years behind his back? When he got her pregnant he paid 7 grand to get rid of the baby, which is quite intresting ...as its 7 years since you won the title...which leads me onto 7 tears,by that wonderful pop band Goombay dance band, whose great lyrics can be applied to your fans after elimination from the Loser Cup..
"Here i stand slab-head in hand
Lonely like a rag -stranger on the floor
I cant stand this(trophyless ) feeling anymore
7 Tears have flown into the river,7 years have passed since we won the title.
Oh and they stole their nickname from Salford's famous "diables rouges"

Full season figures - 22 penalties awarded in fifty seven competitive games. That's a penalty awarded every 2.59 games or every 233 minutes.

Before the covid enforced break 14 were awarded, after it 8. Fourteen games were played by them after the restart, which means their penalties awarded rate goes from one every 3.07 games before the break, to a ridiculous one every 1.75 games afterwards, or one every 157.5 minutes.

What impact did these 22 penalties have? Regardless of whether they actually were correctly given or not, lets have a quick look:

Chelsea (H) - Won 4-0, Rashford scored the second from the spot, no effect
Wolves (A) - Martial opens the scoring but Mr DibDab misses from the spot, Wolves come back to draw. No effect.
Palace (H) Even a Rashford miss can't save them from a 2-1 defeat, no effect
Leicester (H) - A Rashford conversion takes all 3 points for the scumbags. 3 pts gained
Partizan (A) - Another Rashford conversation and another 1-0 win. 3 pts in Europa League
Norwich (A) - Despite missing two penalties, still win 3-1. No effect.
Chelsea (A) - Another Rashford converstion beats Cheslea 2-1 in the cup. Utd into the QFs
Tottenham (H) - Rashford again and another 2-1 win, this time just after the restart after Alli has equalised. 2 points gained
God's Own (A) - As above, Rashford, 2-1, bastards. 2 pts gained.
AZ (H) - Mata gests the 3rd of 4 form the spot. No effect.
Norwich (H) - Rashford with the 2nd of 4 from the spot. No effect, but now been awarded penalties against Norwich H and A.
Tranmere (A)- Last of 6 is from the spot, no effect.
Watford (H) - Enter Bruno Penandes. First in a 3-0 win. No effect technically, but the pen was awarded just before half time and arguably changed the game considerably, especially as Watford had a goal controversially ruled out which would have brought it back to 1-1.
Brugge (H) - Just four days later and Bruno is at it again. The first of four. Again technically no effect but it was the first goal.
Spurs (A) - Bruno saves United from defeat with a penalty with just 10 mins to go in their first game back after the restart. Also, VAR decided to overturn a 97 min penalty for Utd, which was awarded by Moss. 2 points gained.
Bournemouth (H) - A 5-2 win, the penalty takes it to 2-1 after they fell behind early on. Again, technically no effect but undoubtedly changes the game. Bournemouth also got their own pen in this one.
Villa (A) - Five days later and Bruno is at it again from the spot, the first of 3 in a 3-0 win. No effect but it was the first goal that game.
Chelsea (N) - Even a Bruno pen on 85 mins can't save them from elimination in the cup, 3-1.
Leicester (A) - A 71st min pen from Bruno opens the scoring. Technically it should be no effect but they scored the second on 98 mins after Leicester had been reduced to 10 men, so i'm having this as 2pts gained.
Copenhagen (N) - Only goal of the game on 95 minutes when they looked on the ropes. Progressed to EL semi final.
Sevilla (N) - A Bruno pen after 9mins is cancelled out by two Sevilla goals to eliminate them finally 2-1. Justice is done.

So, overall, and purely looking at the results rather than the legitimacy of the penalties, we can say they enjoyed an additional 7 points minimum due to converting penalties this season, progressed to the QF of the league cup, had a cushion at the top of their EL group and then were basically escorted into the semi finals by the officials.

Those 7 points in the league lifted them from battling it out with Arsenal and Sheffield United for 8th, to 3rd. It is also a fact that ther rate of penaties awarded increased hugely after the break, when CL qualification became a real possibility.

Now, lets have a look at who awarded them doemstically (too few matches in Europe really).

S Attwell - One penalty awarded in the one Utd game he officiated in.
M Atkinson - 3 awarded to United in 4
M Dean - 2 in 7
J Moss - 3 in 6
L Mason- 1 in 2
A Taylor - 3 in 6
P Tierney - 3 in 6

Opposed to the referres who officiated but didn't't award United a penalty:

M Oliver - 0 in 1
C Kavanagh - 0 in 3
K Friend - 0 in 4
A Marriner - 0 in 2
C Pawson - 0 in 3
G Scott - 0 in 1
D Coote - 0 in 0

There were also 3 referres who officiated at least 10 times this season but were not awarded a united game - S Hooper, A Madley and P Banks.

So, of the pool of referees used for United games, 14 individuals across 46 domestic games, just 5 individuals were awarded 29 of those games - 63% of all domestic United games went to Taylor, Atkinson, Tierney, Dean or Moss. Personally, i'd say that was questionable off the bat. But then, in these 29 matches, these 5 referees awarded 14 penalties to the scumbags, almost bang on the money for one every two games. In contrast, United only conceded 3 penalties domestically this season. It's almost as if a consious decision was made to steer more games towards 5 specific referees after the restart.

They are now the team with most penalties awarded in the Premier League for the past two seasons, given that many of those appear to have been questionable they've got to be odds on to make it three in a row. Especially if the fudging five continue to be awarded the majority of their games.
Do you work for football 365 ?
IF not i think they nicked your post :)

Ha! No, it's not me but I think they've put some effort into looking into footage of each and every one so fair enough. I did try, but I can't physically stomach watching United highlights for that long voluntarily, hence why I stick to the figures rather than the decisions themselves.

They got 66 points, it’s progress remember guys. They got 66 points the season before, part of that season was when they downed tools up until December in the 18-19 season as they wanted Mourinho out.

So they achieved the same amount of points under a boss they supposedly wanted to play for and it was a happy camp. This was at same time spending £20 million more on a centre half that they wouldn’t buy for Mourinho.

They are fast becoming a laughing stock, how much money have they spent compared to us and have so little to show for it? Pogba doesn’t want to be there, he soon suddenly realised he couldn’t go faking injury as covid arrived and no club had the money to pay his and United’s fantasy valuation of him.

They haven’t got the squad to compete over 38 games, once you get past the starting line up you are back to the dross of Lingaard, James, Jones, Shaw, Mata and Igloo what ever his name is. If this is success for United, Chelsea did it on a lot less and won a trophy. If Mourinho gets Spurs back in shape and Arteta keeps doing his work at Arsenal they will be looking over their shoulders again not tapping on ours.

All the while their finances take a tanking £100 million a season match day revenues not coming in if it stays like this. The glazers will keep draining money out of the club, do you really think they have the money or will to bridge the gap to where the top two is? Nah me neither.
It’s been all very well for the rent boy and his bunch of mercenaries while they’ve had one game a week since the restart, but they won’t find things quite s easy when they have Champions League matches to fit in midweek between Premier League games each weekend.

At least he’ll be able to play his second string and kids, when they get their favourable draws in the FA Cup against Rochdale or Crewe Alex.

Mr. Falcao - What is your opinion on your club being one of the signatories to the letter sent to UEFA. The Club that you follow are an utter disgrace and have proved it in spades over the years.
  • Used our stadium between 1941/49 as yours was out of action - conveniently forgot our act of kindness when signing that letter.
  • Your record League attendance was at Maine Road.
  • You had to use Maine road in 1956/57 for European matches because Old Toilet had no floodlights - bunch of penny pinchers.
  • Threw players families out of Club houses after the air disaster because the head of the family had perished.
  • One chairman sold rotten meat to local schools whilst another peeped under toilet doors - both by the name of Edwards.
  • Your most successful manager got all uppity over our Tevez poster, but had quite happily watched the clock banner on the Stretford end for years without any form of condemnation.
  • Your comb-over star let his wife dictate that he could not take the children to visit their Granmother in the North East. Years later he failed to attend his brothers funeral, seemingly was unwell?
  • Finally why do you use the prefix Manchester in your team name - not played in the City now for over 100 years.
I very much doubt he’ll answer any of those points, mate.

This annoys me. On the Chase today Andy Cole played for which to teams from the same City ? Answer Manchester. Which isnt true scum arent in the City of Manchester.

It just winds me up......

Lolol the man utd fan from Bolton just answered that Ian McCaskill was a football manager .....Also answered that Denis Beauchamp played for Chelsea....bloody hell how plastic are they lololo

PS I know this is abit of topic !

Not a fan then?

I'll tell you what I'm not a fan of Onholiday, no nothing opposition fans coming on their rival's football forum to post utter crap about the best manager this country has ever seen and then in the same breath belittling the club I support their achievements whilst ignoring the fact that the club he's associated with are nothing short of a laughing stock from the clown in the boardroom, through to their clueless manager down to the flapper between the sticks who's milking them dry..

Funny how their shirt sponsor were just about to slash the rags sponsorship money for failing to qualify for the Chumps league yet again only for them to then be awarded penalty after penalty to bump them up the league..

I'd be embarrassed to support a team who basically are given a goal start every game because they are not capable to complete on an even playing field due to them being utterly shit..!

I certainly wouldn't be gobbling it off on a rivals forum..
