I'm thinking they look pretty weak all over the park right now. Ok,I get he's looking at more mobile, supposedly fearless, youngsters to have a go, but what's backing them up is shaky at best, and getting paper thin.
With darmian and Smalling out this week, rojo too possibly, Valencia left on a free didn't he? That leaves them with wan bissaka, young, Shaw and dalot at full back, and lindelof, Jones, maquire and bailly at centre back.
Bailly is injured again, Jones isn't up to it, lindelof struggles as it is. Clearly he wants two attacking full backs but they are bound to get caught out of possession on the counter, especially if maquire steps up too to come into the play.
Now throw in these Thursday night games and I think they are a suspension or an injury or two away from mid table or even bottom half, a winless run away from wrecking the confidence of the younger players ole is putting all his attacking hopes on.
Plus, the fact they are having to ship out the likes of lukaku, Smalling, rojo and sanchez AND support their wages whilst they are not even at the club, just shows the stunning lack of management going on over there still.
Could be wrong, but I truly hope not :)
