I'd be quite happy with them signing Kane for 100m+, another glory player along with Fernandes, Rashford and Pogba shooting from all ranges and angles. Just wouldn't work at all. Cavani or maybe a younger version is exactly what they needed, someone selfless who actually moves off the ball unlike the rest of their forwards.
If Kane is injured for half a season we will be fine.

Cavani is still a great player, of course, but was worried they might’ve gone for Kane this summer so reasonably happy with his decision to stay.
Cavani for another year takes the pressure off, and gives Greenwood more time to develop. If Sancho arrives in the summer, the distribution to the strikers will double, as there is currently nothing coming from the right hand side.

Kane seems to be picking up injuries every season now. He'll be 28 this year, so the injuries won't really slow down. I suppose the way he has been playing for Spurs and England, he is often dropping back and getting involved in areas where he doesn't need to be. If someone could sign him as a number 9 and keep him up top, he might be injured less, but it is doubtful he will change now.

The price tag will be astronomical with Levy involved. He might even have to stay put. Haaland on the other hand has so many years left in him, you could have him for 5 years and still sell him on for 100m.

It does seem ridiculous, though, that nobody can seem to see past these 2 strikers when there is a big wide world out there. There surely are alternatives. We are all being too short sighted with these narrowed down targets, fed to us by the media.

MK Dons home is there next ground. Easy to expand and loads of local support and relatively close to 3 London airports for the Irish blokes aged over 69 in black coats to fly in

Just seen Rat Boy saying "Rags will go for Sancho".
He caused fans to break in to the shithole because he wants the owners out...Now he wants them to spend £80m or £90m on Sancho, What a piece of shit he really is, Someone should just suffocate him by putting a plastic bag over his head the ugly prick.
Wouldn't you rather he be around so we can watch him suffer as those entitled handbag-riot merchants fail to eclipse City? As the owners ignore his cries and whimpers and angry outbursts? As they ignore capital expenditures on the grounds and the youth side while City invests and our young players flourish and begin to slowly replace older players? As an increasing number of children in Manchester grow up with DeBruyne and Foden and Mewis posters on their walls? As Pogba ages? As Martial fades? As Shaw widens? As they slowly become Spurs . . . then Arsenal . . . then Leeds . . . then Portsmouth . . . then (old) Rangers?

A slow asphyxiation over the next 30 years would be more painful then Goodfella-ing him.

Looks more & more like the transfer budget is in an empty purse that's very empty.

The wages purse keeps taking a hammering indicating it's like the debt, servicing and crack papering.

#SOO as been begging him to sign an extension for weeks, he's 34, he'll be on a big wedge but if they signed someone Kane etc he'd also be on a wedge with a big fee attached.
