Kane seems to be picking up injuries every season now. He'll be 28 this year, so the injuries won't really slow down. I suppose the way he has been playing for Spurs and England, he is often dropping back and getting involved in areas where he doesn't need to be. If someone could sign him as a number 9 and keep him up top, he might be injured less, but it is doubtful he will change now.

The price tag will be astronomical with Levy involved. He might even have to stay put. Haaland on the other hand has so many years left in him, you could have him for 5 years and still sell him on for 100m.

It does seem ridiculous, though, that nobody can seem to see past these 2 strikers when there is a big wide world out there. There surely are alternatives. We are all being too short sighted with these narrowed down targets, fed to us by the media.

I suppose the ideal scenario for us now is for the rent boy to play the kids and reserves tonight against Leicester (and lose), then put out a full-strength side for the Littlewoods match on Thursday, and hopefully, take points off them.

Could see it going the way of us just needing a point on Friday night. Why would the rags flog themselves when they have a final coming up?
 
I seriously hope Man Utd rest a lot of players and lose tonight otherwise Liverpool will end up getting 4th.

I don't care what Utd do tonight, and what the gap is to City, I will be hoping Man Utd beat Liverpool. The only way that happens is if they rest a serious amount of players tonight.
