They had everything in their favour tonight and they still couldn't muster up a performance to put us under any real pressure. 2 extra days rest, an almost full squad to choose from (only Cavani missing that I can think of), home advantage, even height advantage. They put their best attacking threat in Rashford up against what was perceived as our defensive weakness (Rashford/Zinchenko) and I don't think he beat him once. They still have a very long way to go to be considered a real threat.

The City is Blue!

We're the 2 favourites for the league title, likely to be in a head to head battle over the next few months, and tonight Ole has gone out of his way to say we are the best side in the country.

I understand trying to play the underdog and relieving pressure, but I'm not sure telling your players they are worse than the opposition so it's no surprise they got knocked out is going to get these United players ready for a title challenge.
I actually think Spurs will be more of a threat than United long term. Solskjaer just doesn't have the experience to last the distance with the likes of Guardiola, Klopp or even Mourinho.

Interesting account.....
location: somewhere.
But what really made me smile was 5h ago which I assume was the first half he's crying to bring Breek on then a hour later he's slagging Olé off for doing just that.

There's just no pleasing the rag ****.

The martial dive was pathetic and I can't believe he wasn't carded for it.

Since the introduction of VAR with penalty checks bookings for simulation seem to have stopped. For me var should be used for bookings for diving too. It can be done with zero stoppage, ref gets a call in his ear and books him at the next break in play. He cheated very poorly and nothing will be bad of it. Disgusting.
100% agree
