It isn't to the Glazers
Champions league qualification is absolutely everything
I'll take a league in which we've so utterly destroyed the rags that they've given up even the hope of competing any day. At least until we get way past 20.
Then it might be fun to occasionally unchain the gimp - just to watch them get stuffed back down again.

The above made me look on the CIES site. It is one of the weirdest things I have read for some time. It appears a load of Nuclear Physicists with too much time on their hands sat down and decide to write something about 'soccer'.
To be fair to Stone it does actually say what he put ( he omits the many complimentary references to City) but all in all it is an absolute load of horse shit written by no nowts.
Yeah CIES player rankings are never discussed, but by their metrics John Stones has been the best player of the past 6 months, and Laporte has been the best player of the last month (Dias 2nd on both counts).

I doubt that'll ever be mentioned by anyone but it's different to most rankings for sure.

Any update on Mugsy's date with Stavros from B-Wing?

It all seems to have gone very quiet on that front. I've no doubt if it were Stones in the same predicament, the media would be holding this over him like the sword of Damocles, and the FA would suspend him from International duty on the grounds that he was guilty until proved 'innocent'.
No update but I would put money on the court case being 3 days after the season ends. Just when everyone is desperate for a holiday etc. The guilty verdict will be hidden behind other headlines.

I made a number of complaints to the BBC about why they insisted that the Liar was innocent until appeal despite the prosecutor and their own Greek correspondent saying the opposite on two occasions, the latter when they asked her to clarify- and she did. Also the Guardian said he was still guilty until tral as did a small article on the BBC website.
They said their sports department had checked with UNITED who confirmed the Liar was innocent until the retrial. They closed my complaint. Slabhead isn't the only Liar in this matter and now United seem to be the go to authority on Greek Criminal Law.

Sir, I like the cut of your jib.
I have no idea what that means I just know it is a compliment

I like the cut of your Jib

a far classier version of "i like your style", originally used by pirates in the 17th century the expression refers to the forward sail on most ships. The course and speed of a ship is determined by the cut of the ships jib, so saying that you like the cut of someones jib is a way of saying, i like the way you're heading.
