It's got nothing to do with their new rules, someone decided that a word in Spanish which has no abusive or racial connnotations was racist because it looks a bit like a racist word in English.

Again, The FA is the problem. They are the ones that have decided what is a racist comment and what is not. I don't know who they have consulted in drawing up their list, and they appear not to allow any latitude for people of a different ethnicity. But they have a list of what is deemed to be a racist comment and what is not. And they stick to their rules regardless of context.

What I will say against Cavani is that he should have known about the sensitivities here when he arrived in this country. He should have known how Bernardo and Alli were treated, and he should have avoided a word similar to that used by Suarez, a fellow Uruguayan.

We hear some rappers using the "N" word in their performances, and there is no outcry about this. It isn't seen as racist. But if a black footballer were to perform a rap and use the same word, he would likely receive a sanction from his governing body.

To me, The FA is out of touch with much of society. It tries to be so politically correct, to the extent that it now falls short, simply by sticking rigidly to is own written code of conduct. The FA is not fit for purpose.

The fa are indeed a load of out of touch middle aged white blokes with no idea. Because of this they allow the media to lead them by the nose.
 
Come to our country we like diversity and different cultures so we can learn off you, but say something the dicks in charge are scared off and you are a racist, what a load of utter bollocks, what Cavani and Bernardo did is not racist in the slightest, only in the eyes of the the woke, PC culture in this country. If I was Cavani I wouldn’t pay a penny.
