I don't think we ever did. Why would we say we're interested, then say he doesn't fit our transfer profile and so on? This was all hype from the media and his agent. Besides, I doubt the deal was done that quickly, all this was obviously pre-arranged long before he told Juve he didn't want to play for them any more.
