Three short months ago, and our esteemed fourth estate were dreaming of a title challenge from over the docks. You’d need a heart of stone not to piss yourself laughing at the delusional bad takes in this 45-minute puff piece.

If they had any sense they should not want to win the league any time soon and instead concentrate on their management team (i.e. the manager is just one part of the solution) building an excellent base, e,g,
1. Have a football style that works in the modern era. (Push it at all levels)
2. Bring in players with the appropriate mix of skill, attitude and professionalism. (Keep social media to a minimum)
3. Set achievable goals (A Final of a Cup or finish 6th, then 4th, then 2nd, then 1st, etc)

Pochettino could be good if he is backed by a team behind the scenes who are deaf to the public.

But I have no doubt at all that they'll undermine him at every opportunity because they pander to the peasants.
