Grealish needs to be hitting the ground running for you lot also, he needs to finishing the season up there in the assist table and has to be as influential as the likes of de Bruyne and Bruno to be classed as a success. 100 million record buy needs to be making a big difference to a team surely.

No he doesn’t. As long as City continues to win trophies all is well.

I like our chances better than Utd that’s for sure.

The icing on the cake is that we have again forced the rags to throw vast sums of money at a player just to keep them away from ourselves

Yes Ronaldo is a goal scorer but there is no guarantee that this will propel united to the pinnacle of the football ladder as the rag brigade believe. Their team is still disjointed, over-stacked up front and olly is still at the wheel

It is just the sanchez scenario all over again. I honestly dont think our club are that bothered. The relationship with mendes is still intact because mendes did his job and actually offered his services to us - we did look into it, this made united shit the bed and lets not forget that ronaldo was offered to united earlier on but they refused at the wage demand - which tells the story that he wasn't in their plans in the first place

When they got wind that we could be interested this forced them to act swiftly and throw the wages at him just to keep him away - hilarious

I honestly think we have played it very well once again

We have made them spunk a huge amount of their wage bill on a player they didn't really need.

Like Pogba AND Slabhead did for Ushited???? A bit of a hypocritical post mate.

'Tis simple: They needed a pace merchant so they can continue hoofing it long with a whippet to chase and cross. - They bought Sancho.
They needed a defender to partner slabhead. They bought Varanne. And also gave a tribute to their best player of the last two seasons if you check the first three letters of his surname.
And they needed a marquee signing and got the player generally reckoned to be one of the best in the world over the last decade even though he should be well past his peak.
They might still have the paper boy in charge but could do well with Mike Riley as his assistant.
Meanwhile we we needed a striker and a proper left back (before Mendy's alleged criminality) and bought another midfielder. Albeit a bloody good one.

Do you not think having Ronaldo in the box will give United more confidence to get it in the box? I think you’ve unknowingly just answered your own question of why United bought Ronaldo.

United signed Ronaldo in order to stop City from doing it. Ronaldo was available before yesterday, but United weren't interested. Ronaldo would still be at Juve if Mendes didn't create the impression he was City bound.

City were hesitant, didn't want to pay a transfer fee, hadn't agreed wages, etc. If we really, really wanted him, we'd have paid what Juve wanted and given Ronaldo what he wanted. We didn't, because we wondered whether such a signing makes enough sense. Yes, Ronaldo is a much better finisher than any City player, but that's not enough to make us stronger, if he can't press and do what Pep wants. Aguero is a much better finisher than any false 9 at City, but we were better without him last season and came close to winning the treble without a striker.

Any signing has pros and cons. Naturally, now you tend to see only the pros from signing Ronaldo. The cons will surface during the season. They may turn out to be big!

PSG got Messi, Real are getting Mbappe the only other teams left were United and City, both teams wanted him but he chose United. If City didn’t want him pep would of came out and said we’re not interested. He didn’t he said Ronaldo will choose where he wants to go. It’s clear Ronaldo wanted United all along but mendes had to use City to make United act.

City were not going to pay him 750k before tax. mendez has pulled the rags pants down again.

And what about the Glazet protests? Will there be anymore? If they don't happen will Gary Neville deliver another diatribe? Or will it all be forgotten about now that everything is rosy in rag world?
I'm sure the bastion of English football Gary Neville will still be tub thumping for a 51% fan ownership of the club on the next edition of MNF.

What do you mean no............
