The Glazer empire is a huge bubble which is waiting to burst. Their so-called shopping mall businesses make no money and are apparently built on huge debts (even before Covid). In fact they appear to be just a collection of shell companies with no substance at all. It is impossible to find out because their finances are buried in the Cayman Islands.
Their main cash cows seem to be the Tampa Bay Bucs and MUFC but these organisations are also underpinned by a huge mountain of debt. As stated on here the Glazers' original wealth was generated in the Texas oil fields.
What is clear is that they pay virtually no tax, certainly not in the UK, but they continue to take cash out of MUFC. They have invested virtually nothing in the UK or the local community of Greater Manchester. When you look at the community projects on their website they are essentially PR spin with little actual investment. Even United fans themselves acknowledge the Glazers are a total disgrace. So why is no one from the UK media investigating what the hell is going on with these characters?
The last line of your post is very important.
You raise a very good question..
It wouldn't take long or cost much for the BBC to launch an investigation on their own doorstep....

Because the rags have many many insiders within the British media. I can think of no other reason as to why you never see anything negative about them...anywhere.
You are right but I am sure there is a big story waiting to come out about the Glazers. Their plan was obviously to sell the club and clear off into the sunset with their pockets full of cash. But that is becoming more and more unlikely because few organisations have deep enough pockets (now the Saudis have gone elsewhere). Meanwhile the Glazers can't afford to invest properly in the infrastructure so something has got to give. I also think the PL decision to back the Newcastle deal shows that United's influence at the top table is on the wane. A failure to reach the CL this season could push them over the edge.

It really is amazing the wage cap only got scrapped when they couldn't sign people with the offer of trophies anymore isn't it
That was as dodgy as fuck and ignored by all the media. PL wage increase FFP rule quietly dropped at a time Rags needed to spend heavily and renew many large contracts. It just sums up how they have the media in their back pocket that it was not picked up by anyone, like their accounting in the Cayman Islands or the Bebe transfer or the Martial (i think) transfer and part of the fee was a friendly game that never happened etc etc
