He chose the short sighted route, got plenty of game time in a poorish league and is now stuck in a nightmare. We may disagree with Liverpool over pretty well everything else but, as clubs, we're both on board the SOS bandwagon. Apart from last season, where Liverpool needed top 4 when United had already got it, they've been very gentle with them on their visits to the swamp.

My hope is that baconface is telling the Glazers that he was a game away from getting sacked and a result in the cup saved him and that's what sparked United's success for the next 20 years, so they should be patient.

Most of those draws were at the end of the season and were borefest games just to achieve the record and our record haul of points is a much better achievement

But that will never receive the credit it deserves.
