Exactly. They media publish the negative stories while the fans are happy to read them but they'll soon be all positive again if they win a match.
The club also need the negative articles in case they win a couple but still decide to sack the Norwegian gnome.

One of the things I find so intriguing about United post-Ferguson is they almost always hire a manager at the wrong time.

Mourinho would have been a success IMO if he was appointed after Ferguson. He comes in an dominates a club from top to bottom just like Ferguson did at United. He would have gotten the best out of that old squad and bullied Woodward into making the signings he wanted, not dawdled like Moyes who'd never spent big before.

Moyes would have been a success if he'd come after someone like Mourinho or van Gaal to calm things down.

van Gaal I actually think was a great appointment but they still had such delusions of grandeur that they bailed on him before his rebuild was complete and then they threw 2 years of work away by going for the complete opposite in Mourinho. So the timing was wrong. If he'd come in 2018 then I think United would be contenders by now.

It seems really apparent to everyone except United that what they need right now is a massive name with huge authority to control the egos in the dressing room and win now. Conte, Zidane etc.

Brendan Rodgers is clearly not that person. Rodgers is the guy you hire in 18 months when Conte has come in done well and fucked off. Or he's the guy you hire 2 years ago to build.

He's not going to come into a dressing room and make them win immediately while Ronaldo, Pogba and Varane are there. He doesn't have the necessary status to make someone like Ronaldo put the team before himself, or bench him.

It would be a terrible move for everyone, I hope he can resist it for his sake because the money, and chance to manage someone like Ronaldo and another chance at a giant club might be too appealing for him, especially with Leicester looking like this might be a year where progress stalls.

These raggy fuckers are touchy. Just had chapter and verse on how no City manager EVER would have the balls to bench/drop PR37.

Told him that he was wrong because Joe Royle once told George Weah to shut the fuck up. A couple of my fellow Blues were under the desk at this point laughing their collective tits off.

None of this seemed to compute in his brain whatsoever! Joe Weah? George Royle? Royle Weah? Just looked totally befuddled by what I had said, he usually knows better than to fuck about with me because I just won't engage when he's on one, and just laugh. Well it's Friday and my lazy twat of a mate is off sick so I couldn't go for a beer at lunch.

This thick rag twat is in his mid 40's and an 'expert' on all things football related, unsurprisingly he knows more about Citeh who play at the Emptyhad of course, which is owned by the council by the way, than any City supporter ever!

I always ask him where he sits at the swamp and that's now an old stuck record for him, you don't have to go to support your team allegedly. Sheikh Mansour owes me thousands then!

I think I might make him stay late (his manager isn't in and I am covering the section) tonight just for the shits and giggles.
