In the simplest possible terms, please can someone explain to me what Carrick is going to bring to the party that good old Ole couldn't deliver? I am genuinely interested in what United think they are going to prise from Carrick that he wasn't already delivering to the club albeit through Ole?

But which position? They've appointed Cabbage as interim interim, they need to look for and appoint an interim until the end of the season and whilst all this is going on find the new chosen one as full time manager. Noddy should hold his head high. He was at Molde on three and sixpence, somehow he turned a caretaker role into a permanent job and to cap it all another 3 year contract. He is walking away with 7.5 million quid. There are people who are very successful in business that would never see that. Mind you there are blokes doing a 3 stretch for conning less money than that out of gullible yanks.
