The mental gymnastics we’d see from certain journalists, not to mention United fans, if this actually happened would be amazing.

There would be a bit of noise from Liverpool fans but that would be it, everything else would go silent.

What Delaney would do I’ll never know.

Torn between appeasing both Liverpool fans and United fans, I think he’d self-implode.

You know what, I'd take Dubai buying United, even if it meant they were truly back. The football media's darling club owned by Arabs. Delooney and his left wing mates jumping off the top of Beetham tower. The hordes of plastic Rags celebrating, whilst the diehard Rags with a fake human rights conscience start a Dubai Out campaign.

That's why I've never took any of the 'oil club' jibes seriously because we all know United fans would drop their pants in the same situation. As I've seen with their early reaction to this already.

They like to think they're 'holier than thou' but they're not. Bunch of hypocrites.

You have to laugh.

Oil money this, oil money, that, yet the Yanks are carving up the PL for themselves and pocketing the money, including the Glazers.

And they think Jim is going to find £4bill+ to save and buy United, and then give a % of the club to United fans.

Does Dubai even have the cash? The city doesn't exactly have cash lying around with all there gaudy and reckless infrastructure spending. Burj Khalifa was actually bailed out by the then ruler of Abu Dhabi for whom it was renamed. The capital of the UAE is a richer and better managed city than Dubai. That said I really don't understand accusations of sportswashing and PR exercise for Abu Dhabi and if it comes to fruition for Dubai. It's more of shrewd investment. For one thing outside of small, loud and bleeding heart leftists followers most casual fans aren't bothered with political and social justice agenda. Plus, no offense to Mancunians, those 2 cities especially Dubai are more "global" and known internationally than Manchester itself.

They lost against Brighton and Brentford, conceding 6 and scoring one, their goal difference is zero after winning four straight games, so what is your point?
My point is for all the laughing we are only 2 points ahead, and next week the spuds, who we have a shit record against, so this time next week they could be above us
