As bad as a manager Scholes was, I would prefer to listen to his views on the rags than the media who just blow smoke. If Scholes says it was a shit performance with no ideas then I reckon he is nearer the mark. FFS who these days sticks a huge lump up front and then lumps it aimlessly forward? Just need Villa to turn up on Saturday now. Wonder if the media will bill it as Mings v Maguire, who goes to the word cup?

Scholes is brutally honest and usually hits the mark as a pundit. I don't like Roy Keane but he is also a pundit who tells the truth. It is refreshing to hear them instead of the usual propaganda we are fed by SKY Sports. It always used to make me laugh when the fanboy pundits on SKY kept telling us that Pogba was world-class but Scholes, Souness, and Keane (three of the best ever midfielders) kept saying he was "shite" and totally over-rated. I know who I believe.

You know how the conversation went (kept it civil as we were in mixed company), apparently he used to live in Chester which he seemed to think was an obvious location to be a rag...I did point out that Chester had a team who would have been in the league when he was younger and that both dips sides would have been closer to where he lived.

He just kept ticking boxes, used to be a season ticket holder so he said, doesn't go anymore as it's not football now, all money etc etc.

not even gonna waste my time uploading a picture but they a flaunting there flag from last night all over twitter! “ Call 911 Shaun cox is doing. wheelies on the dancefloor” In my recent memory we’re the only club that’s apologised for our fans “behaviour” and yet I know a flag like that would never get made by a blue!! Personally I think that flag is disgusting, poor fella still disabled!

So I will refer to Manchester United in full here - as far as I am concerned, Newcastle United are above them in the table, so they are the ones who should just be known as United right now.

I am not a petty man, though, so I am not going to tip Manchester United to lose here just to upset their fans any further."

And then this, just below:

"I love what Eddie Howe is doing at United. They have got a really nice balance to the team, and are stingy defensively.

Howe has not just bought that improvement with the players he has signed - he is getting much more out of the United players who were already at St James' Park when he arrived 12 months ago.

United striker Callum Wilson is one of them, and I think he must go to the World Cup with England. The worry with Wilson is always his injury problems, but he is fit and absolutely flying at the moment."

Roy Keane is usually good but he can get biased, I think it depends on the team. He seems to have issue with City and Arsenal when playing the rags..

He has never given the reason we beat utd as us being better, it's always no fight, poor defending or there's always a reason why Utd should of stopped our goals.

He completely embarrassed himself after the utd v Arsenal game this season. After Arsenal were clearly the better side. Saying Arsenal can't take any positives from the game and United will finish above them. That's just biased.

I can't believe rags would be upset at simply being called United - where as West Ham and the Geordies would rightly be pissed off.
In the same way as we are simply "City" which will no doubt irk Leicester, Brum and cov fans (though the latter can fuck right off anyway)
