I don’t know, how could he argue against gross misconduct? The interview is hardly a secret and what defence has he got? Pretty obvious grounds for instant dismissal (coming from someone who isn’t an expert but does have an HR department reporting to me).My thinking is it’s come around too quickly for it be a sacking. Lawyers etc would surely have meant that dragging out for a while?
