The Daily United you say?

Does he mean the noise he makes or the noise he perceives others to make?

This is not the worst City side, this is the best City side ever. There are 2 internationals for every position. The quality has never been better. Haaland is the best striker in world football. De Bruyne is the most creative player in world football. You can go through the whole team and not find one weak link. There are no McTominay's or Maguires in the current squad. The problem is not the personnel, it is a combination of complacency, attitude and a bit of Pep tinkering. Also, it would seem that the World Cup took something out of a few players, and I don't know why? (Foden)

There is a huge difference between Ten Hag and Ole. Ten Hag plays aggressive football, they win the ball off the opposition. When they loose it, they get it back quickly. They play on the front foot, always going forward, always direct. Also helps with some of the characters signed in the summer. Casemiro and Martinez. He's also fucked off all the Diva's. Anyone not willing to graft gets binned. Attacking players are allowed to make mistakes, because they have the aggressive press behind them when they lose the ball. When Rashford or Antony fuck up, Casemiro is right in behind them to win the ball back. You could liken it to City of 2 seasons ago with Fernandinho. When you have that safety blanket behind you, it gives confidence to creative players.

For his first 2 seasons, Ole played with everyone behind the ball, they let the opposition have all of the possession and held their shape, and as soon as the opposition made a mistake they would counter attack them. They would have 30% procession, 2 shots on goal and win the game. (Remember that lockdown derby) They would fluke wins. Ole came unstuck when he tried to play higher up the pitch and have more procession, because it exposed Maguire's lack of pace. They got battered when they tried to go toe to toe with anyone.
I'm not seeing any difference between the way they're playing under Ten Hag and the way they played under Solskjaer.

It's complete rubbish to say theyre now "always on the front foot, always attacking, always going forward"... you might get that impression from only watching the 2 minute highlight clips on YouTube but it's a very different story over the the full 90 minutes

They're tactics, style of football and technical ability is still exactly the same as it was under Solskjaer, sit back defend deep, allow the opposition plenty of possession and then hoof it up to the fast lads upfront and hit them with a sucker punch on the break.

They're just more efficient and effective at it now under Ten Hag, combined with Ferguson era levels of favourable officiating for them and Rashford currently having the best goalscoring form of his career this season.

Ten hag has transformed them, think these fuckers will win Sunday and Newcastles season will crumble from there on in. Also wouldn't be surprised if scum won the league.

Well we all know they win on Sunday - Howard Webb will see to that… the League is a work in progress.

Basically ten hag has just got rid of the two biggest cunts in the dressing room so he can now actually manage the team himself.

Really REALLY don't want these to win tomorrow. My "days since rags last won a trophy" countdown would be ruined.

Just in case, I'm consoling myself that if they did win the League Cup they'd have to decide whether to have an end-of-season bus tour. And there's no right answer to that. Having a tour would be laughable and embarrassing when you've spent a billion to win an LC after 5 years. Not having a tour would be official recognition that the LC on it's own is crap.

Let's pray Newcastle win and then someone (Arsenal?) knocks them out of the Europa Windscreens Pizza Shield.

I fear for Newcastle on Sunday as they’ve looked poor the last few games I’ve watched them. I hate to say it but the scummy cunts are fired up at the moment. Very (very) aggressive, shifting the ball fast and look really confident. The media are stoking them and refs are helping them - some of the decisions they’ve had recently are unbelievable. We’re gonna have to dig deep and get our shit together this season to stay ahead of the bastards. It was bound to happen at some point. Pep’s a serial winner and will need to be. Game on.
