Oh please mister just leave me aloneI'm only looking for fun.
Mate i'm 52, have lived in Brisbane for the last few years and on occasion get the train to Suncorp Stadium to watch the Brisbane Broncos Rugby League with my boy (born over here), there is about 15 stops in total and every time the "mind the gap" announcement is made, my son and I sing the song to each other laughing like simpletons.I was on a northern train with no air con yesterday.
My first train trip in a long time.
It was noisy and roasting but it made my day when at the first stop the announcement said
MIND THE GAP.
I laughed until the next station.
When it happened again.
Are there any women here today?Right...who threw that ??
I’ve just seen the shortlist for Ballon D’Or. How the fucking hell is fake Ronaldo even on that list???
one i know never knows who they are playing and what day.yet still spouts emptyhad etchave that a lot, ex next door neighbour told me yesterday he hasn't watched football for tears because it's bent. A Leeds fan I know always says he isn't that bothered about football even though he is always wearing the newest shirt, I am sure he's wear the shorts and socks if he had the legs for it :)
Wasn't Mahrez our top goal scorer and top goal contributor (goals and assists) across all comps last year? How is Mahrez on it? And Fabinho but no Rodri who had a much better season than both of them.
All together now -
They should thank us for being so good. Otherwise they could have been relegated. So over the last 38 Premier League games, the equivalent of an entire season, my admittedly dodgy maths has it that they are 41 points behind us (96 to 55)
That’s an average of more than a point a game, which is MASSIVE
Their goal difference is even worse - they’re 81 behind us (76 to minus 5).
That’s an average of more than two goals a game, which is even more MASSIVE.
Lads, we’re basically playing a different sport
I prefer them to get really giddy before the inevitable meltdown. You can see the change in their fans faces over the season. Walking tall giving it the big one to hiding from life looking grey. This season it’s looking like it’s straight to grey.I have a sinking feeling that they will beat Brentford tonight (with a lot of help, of course) and the media will be out with their boringly predictable 'They're Back!' headlines, telling us all that the masterplan is finally coming together and the world had better watch out because the pisscan has got them playing the u*ited way.'
Simon Stone and his cerebrally-challenged followers will be triumphantly hailing a new beginning for the rags, and the well-oiled PR machine will roar into overdrive. VAR will win player of the year for them and Slabhead will receive an honorary Knighthood for his services to football...
and breathe.
