Reading that assessment by Swiss Ramble of the Glazers financial impact on the rags,I am reminded of something that Ed Woodentop said: “Performance on the pitch doesn’t really impact what we can do on the commercial side of the business.” (Roughly quoted)
If he truly believed that (and I think he did) there could be no greater demonstration of their ignorance of the footy business. The commercial side is now being impacted significantly by their absence from the CL and that will only get worse. Anyone want to sponsor our shirt? Anyone? Please, pretty please.
