There’s a bit of giddiness on the cafe right now about a possible club sale.

If they sell and are still shit what then?

F**K me, just seen Michael Knighton on Granada reports advocating rebuilding the club around the Portuguese ponce (not Frenades) "let him know he has a role for next 20 years" then admits his consortium of blionaires doesn't have the chance for stadium and player upgrades.
Late reply, been out. It was some of the most non sensical guff ever spouted. Think he wants to make PR37 Prime Minister eventually. Knighton is a space cadet, they’d be worse under his stewardship.

It's the same mistake that Palace made a few years ago, employing De Boer with a defined playing style, not furnishing him with remotely adequate recruitment and they end ended up sacking him after about 5 games as he was unwilling to compromise on style.

You can see a very similar turn of events unfolding here very quickly...........
Said it all along that the best manager for utd would be Dyce

Puzzle for the late posters. If you were a Glazer would you sell? Bleating zebras and red tinted correspondents thousands of miles away won’t bother them. Their ownership of the scum should be a glorious case study in extreme capitalism. The Tories must worship their business dealings. Screw everyone but yourself. It will take an offer of gargantuan proportions to entice them to offer up the cash cow.

Reading that assessment by Swiss Ramble of the Glazers financial impact on the rags,I am reminded of something that Ed Woodentop said: “Performance on the pitch doesn’t really impact what we can do on the commercial side of the business.” (Roughly quoted)
If he truly believed that (and I think he did) there could be no greater demonstration of their ignorance of the footy business. The commercial side is now being impacted significantly by their absence from the CL and that will only get worse. Anyone want to sponsor our shirt? Anyone? Please, pretty please. Going cheap in the Far East: 200 million shirts. Just wait till they are relegated!
