Proper United signing

You can see it now, the club shop will be out of Ns and Ys by the end of the week

It’s not just about the money. The difference between us and the rags is not the budget, it’s about the appointment of Khaldoon, the creation of a strong structure, the appointment of Soriano, Txiki, Pep, and many others. Leadership, that’s what the rags lack.

^^^ This, all day long and that twat Neville knows it - it’s why he keeps agitating the fans against the glazers; he knows as long as they are there, they won’t invest beyond the first team.

Neville has marvelled and bemoaned our set up in equal measure, for a while now. Whilst the media have been focussing on our dominance on the pitch no-one has paid much attention to what has gone on in the background.

People laughed when at time Pellegrini came to us and the message was that we were adopting an holistic approach to our football. We now see the fruits of that philosophy.

The youth teams all play the same way so that when (if) a youngster gets any game time with the first team, they play in the same way - albeit, they are less experienced. Any players we buy are purchased on the basis they can fit into our system.

Mr Neville has noticed this. He’s seen the dominance of our youth teams and it bothers him that rather than our current success being an aberrant flash in the pan, our set up is strong and we have a very efficient and well-run club these days - and I suspect, he sees his beloved utd being left behind if things aren’t changed at the theatre of screams.

Oh how things have changed - remember the 90/00’s when everyone wanted their kids at the utd academy or a bobby charlton soccer school. When utd had a stream of youth they could tap into?!

There‘s little chance of another ‘class of 92’ coming through (more likely to be us at some point) so they have to buy the ‘talent’ in.

Whilst the ultimate demise of utd would be wonderful to see, it is highly unlikely. I would rather see them scrape into 4th spot every year where that is the best they can achieve; it would mean the glazers would keep their revenue streams and refuse to sell and it would possibly appease their imbecilic fans.

The last thing we want is someone gaining control of that club and actually sorting the mess out!

It's often been said on here that the amount needed to save that sinking, rotting carcass of a vessel from sinking to the depths would be astronomical. An overhaul of the stadium, playing staff, training facilities etc would frighten off any potential owners. Understandably.

And then there's the plastic fanbase. Happy when winning, angry and violent when not. Who would want a club whose followers would suddenly turn nasty when the cub hits a sticky spell? And have the apparent blessing of their favourite mouthpiece, Ratboy/Sky (and -it would appear- GMP)?

The club has been in decline for many many years. Most people know it. But the media will never publicly acknowledge it. They will never tell the plastics that they're finished: never publicly print that their club is beginning it's long and thoroughly deserving tailspin into obscurity.

I think ten hag is buying the right players but they're having to pay through the nose, and accept lessv than what he actually wants.
He's also getting rid of some of the driftwood , though Ronaldo is a legacy big signing that he can't get rid of.

What they did against lfc was their potential (though lfc were clearly poor too). And I can see ten hag turning them around, IF given enough time but I'd assume the politics and spotlight on that club will prevent him from doing what he wants.

And I'm looking fw to the battle between his philosophy and the fans/media demands that they win, and play the United way, which isn't his way tbh.

That’s the issue IF he is given time put it this way if they haven’t won a trophy or have not claimed a champions league place by the end of next season he will be gone .............. there fanbase is like a ticking time bomb they simply don’t have the patience for it with City dominating ........... you go back to the 80s and 90s how many managers did City go through to try and do something about United ???????
The same is gonna happen there until the day they get fortunate

They were average against Southampton who should of least got a draw out of it! What I see is a lot of effort with the main philosophy of defend which isn’t supposed to be Ten Bob philosophy

Btw they beat a poor Liverpool side and got away with it against Southampton it’s just a flash in the pan

People pointing to the amount the Glazers have spent as evidence of the quality of their ownership is akin to admiring the financial prudence of someone who blows their annual bonus on a weekend in Vegas replete with coke and brass, rather than sticking it in an ISA.

The amount they spend isn’t the issue, it’s how they spend it. They are completely fucking clueless.
