Yeah I thought that and he may well improve them but they've had 'top' coaches before, LVG, Special One, Chosen One etc and they still struggled in that set up.

I notice that the media narrative (especially from SKY) remains that United have got good players who are just not fit enough and have been badly coached. I have always disagreed with this. I think, with a couple of exceptions, the team is incredibly poor technically. Most of them, especially the keeper, can't control or pass the ball properly. They will not move forward till they have replaced most of the current team and I don't think the answer will be just bringing in players from Ajax. I do agree he will be given time. They have no choice now.

The media narrative does what it's always done, defends the rags and the dippers and keeps any negative stories about them far from the world at large. They would never bite the hand that feeds them.
