We seem to get one or two of these types of signings every year to keep us amused. Past it galacticos after a cash out move.
They nearly always flop.
Off the top of the my head recently there's been

Falcao
Schweinsteiger
Sanchez
Ibrahimovic
Cavani
PR37
Varane
and now Erickson.
All were going to help United back to their rightful place atop the League.
None did apart from maybe the odd week here and there.

It was Fergusson who effectively handed their club to the Glazers, Fergusson who still sits on their payroll and the fools think that he’d stand up against the them!

Posting this as I now have a bit of time on my hands.
Basically I rang my boss and said I wasn't happy with the way things were going. The recruitment was shite and I had no belief it would get better. I demanded a move to a different company, wasn't that bothered who it was, just that I wanted out. I told my boss I still expected to be paid until this happened.
As I said I now have time on my hands as he sacked me, that can't be right can it ? It's my right, I have famly issues. Honest.

I've just listened /watched the Talksport video and that United fan is the very definition of what a "Plastic Fan" is.

Once it starts going wrong it's hard to correct it.
I could see them in the bottom half for a few years to come..Once Ronaldo goes they haven't another decent player.

It was the fallout over the "Rock of Gibraltar" case. Magnier and McManus (the two Irish majority shareholders at OT) were furious at Ferguson, and sold their stake to the Glazers. Therefore, quite a lot of utd fans hold Ferguson at least partly responsible for the Glazers getting their feet under the table at "TWGC"™. Do a quick Google search for Rock of Gibraltar".
