Leading to players on our books that a manager recently sacked had chosen, and that the incoming one didn't want. The difference is that they're filthy rich, and we weren't. Although of course the Glazers take money out of their club because, faithful to the American capitalist perspective, a sports club is above all a business operation, and only secondarily part of the fabric of a community.
