United looked like they did under ole and previously Jose. Yes they can get a result against a supposedly superior team. Kick and rush over a season is not enough anymore. City and Liverpool have raised the bar. Unless we both fall back into the pack, you would be foolish to back another team although surprises can happen every now and then.
They have played arsenal and the dippers and beat both, we have dropped points to Newcastle and villa

Do they suddenly make up 25pts plus and we drop off our mean average with what we have this season? Can’t see it personally
Not a chance. Forget the propaganda machine that surrounds the premier league. Arsenal/Spurs will not make up the gap and the rags will certainly fucking not. With the Neville protests and the cash injected, an improvement was always on the cards. If City played at united’s level right now I would be delighted with a cup run and maybe top 4.

In summary, improvement on last season but not yet matched their best recent seasons under ole and Jose. The only real improvement is in their finishing and the media rallying behind the brand once again.

I'm struggling to see what gap arsenal and Tottenham have to make up
