Ten Haag being touted as a disciple of Guardiola, sounds more like he’s been studying Stuart Pearce and Beany the tactics horse’s play book.
After 2 games he had to abandon his 'Pep' philosophy but where is the condemnation of him having to resort Sam Allardyce tactics last night ?
The press love to say, after a lucky 1-0 win against a mid/lower table side, that they could win the league, but they won't out him after his 'hoof it to Maguire ball" didn't work.

Freddie Mercury at right back and slab head in attack :)

The Glazers wanted a winner, someone who could emulate Pep. Exciting football where the keeper starts a 24 pass move that sweeps up the pitch before being slotted home. For that reason who better than the Ajax manager, Ajax, home of the beautiful game, Johan Cruyf and world cups.......
'Right Maguire gets stripped your going on, you're playing centre forward. I'll get someone to lump it up to you get your head on it'

And even then it didnt work. What a freak show.

was he taking advice from stuart pearce?

Giddy fuckers can't stop themselves :)
Just read that MEN article. What a load of pretentious twaddle by Samuel Luckhurst. He writes as though he is auditioning for an appearance in Psueds Corner.

I was in a boozer earlier this week with my City cap on chatting along with Mrs Moon to a guy in a red coat & his wife.

He passed some comment jokingly about me being a blue (had a North West accent) and said he lived in Stoke so, I started talking about the 2011 final only for him to look blank and say he was a rag.

You know how the conversation went (kept it civil as we were in mixed company), apparently he used to live in Chester which he seemed to think was an obvious location to be a rag...I did point out that Chester had a team who would have been in the league when he was younger and that both dips sides would have been closer to where he lived.

He just kept ticking boxes, used to be a season ticket holder so he said, doesn't go anymore as it's not football now, all money etc etc.

Fucking balloon.

They only call the rag manager out when they get the nod from the club until then it’s full backing off the media and everything is positive that young academy kid who was bought at 16 is the new saviour of the scum for the next 20 years the new giggs scholes al into one! They won say or write about him only being at the club for 2 years and it’s his previous club who has moulded him into what he is now which is a a very good player who scored a good goal…

Ian Darkeside on BT saying that Magliar upfront could be an option for Southgate in the World Cup was a highlight inbetween his constant reminders and rimming of Gashfoot and Greggs as certain picks for the England squad.
No. Fucking. Way.
Maguire in the stand with that wank band should not even be an option for Southgate.
As a manager he is limited, both in his ability and the players he's got BUT, both are better than that.
