Its clear they wanted him out in the summer, they offered him to more or less every team in Europe but none were stupid enough to take him on at his age and wages which are reported to be 800k a week, never mind the 500k some media say.

He still scores goals but they look a better team without him and these comments on top of refusing to come on as a sub and leaving the ground early makes giving him the captaincy v Villa looking like very weak management and who are they kidding about him missing due to illness, its clear they got wind of his interview and told him to stay away but trying to save face on both sides

I bet any potential suitors in the champions league are buzzing at the prospect of signing him.

The guy has just taken a shotgun to his career as a footballer. I can only see him back at Sporting where he will need to step down his ego dramatically.

I did think he would go to the MLS and be a part of brand Beckham… but he’s not allowed in the States is he?
You might well be right but i wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a good world cup as he’ll get good service in that side. Then someone still in champions league takes him after a striker gets injured or something. Obviously after this nobody should touch the knobhead with a barge pole but you never know with football.

Sadly the sideshow is going to be away from the circus soon.

Ten Hag has handled it pretty well to be fair to him.

Talk about getting old ungracefully. Doesn't seem able to handle the fact that he isn't they player he once was. Take away that goal against Everton this season and he's only scored 2 others against a pub side.

It’s already started in ernest. It’s never ever going to change with the Rag loving football media.

Its dripping with irony that if he has wanted to end his career with a flourish and be treated with a modicum of respect from the club he was at....the right move would have been City. But of course the pisscan got in the way....aaahhh the ways that **** has contributed to the rags downfall is delicious.

He's a massive bellend, but I reckon we would have won last years CL if we'd had him up top during the tail end of last season.

It was obviously some time in the planning but his ego won’t mind taking Garnacho away from the headlines either
This is what its all about.

What will everyone be talking about during the WC? This preening Ponce. He's give himself cover for being shit in it.

I really don't think the right move would have been city.
He would have brought that poison to our club as soon as Pep told him to track back and press up front.

He wants what he wants and nothing else

I hate Ronaldo fanboys. They seem to think Man United are a one-person team and have to revolve entirely around what Ronaldo wants, fuck everyone else. And greatest of all time? What about George Best, Denis Law, Peter Schmeichel, Ryan fucking Giggs?

What are they going to do when he retires?
