I can’t wait for the blatant hypocrisy merchants. If it’s true and it goes ahead without any media outrage I may well call it a day football wise.

It’s actually a bit worrying that they’re already playing quite well even without an inject of major cash.

All at the time that FFP is going tits up and/or an independent regulator of the game is going to come in and allow spending. Like Chelsea have somehow got away with it.

Don’t want to ‘flap’ but it’s far from ideal timing from our perspective given everything that’s going on.

In some perverse kind of way, I want it to be true. I want them exposed as the hypocrites we all know them to be. The vitriol directed at City this last decade has never been about morals; it's been jealousy, pure and simple. One thing that staggers me; any Leeds fans, Villa fans, Wham United fans, basically any fans of clubs that aren't "history boys" who have bought into this manipulation for so long, it's these clubs that need to wake up and smell the coffee. They are never going to be able to compete for trophies with English football in its current guise. Do they not see that? Do they not see that their enemies in football are the very clubs who shamelessly claim to be its "moral guardians". We were lucky, we gatecrashed just in time. Now, there's an iron wall around the party. The rest of the league will forever be consigned to simply existing. They'll never be allowed to dream. All because a select group of spoilt, embittered clubs thought it unjust for others to have their day in the sun. For other long-suffering fanbases to experience just a little bit of the good times.

And I'm leaning heavily towards your last point. I'm four and a bit years away from forty, when I get there I honestly think I'll have dialled it down to just checking the City score on my phone and watching the odd game. It'll be good for me; that much I'm sure of.

They always had the cash. They spend over 200m every summer. The Glazers always got decent sponsorship deals. FFP rules state that you have to live within your means and If you are making 650 million a season, and breaking even, then you are always going to be at the top table.

If they get bought by the Qatari's the same rules apply. They have to break even, if they start signing strikers for 100m, they have to have the money coming in to pay for it.

I guarantee that increasing the size of the stadium and upping season ticket prices will happen soon, because they have no other way to go, in order to get more cash.

Its not like they have not spent vast sums already, cant see this happening dont think any middle east investors will be interested after the nonsense City's owners have got. Remember a couple of weeks ago it was the dippers who were being taken over by middle east investors with utmost certanity, now thats all dead.

One positive is that the PL won’t become primarily american!

Sounds dodgy already

"The bid for United would come from separate, individual Qatari investors, not connected with the ownership of Paris Saint-Germain."

Interesting.

Its the money of Qatar government, splitted into two companies , buying two different clubs.

Not a bad idea.

They will clear their debt, and will outbid even Madrid for any player.
