The difference between Pep & ten bob is that Pep stuck to his principles even when we got tanked by Everton in his 1st season. No matter how much the media hype up their squad it is sub-standard in virtually every department; the stadium is crumbling and needs a minimum of £500m spending on it; they have debts of almost £1bn and owners who can't pay their debts. To cap it all they have recruited a manager who I am convinced is a bluffer and has no idea what he is doing. His purchases so far (except for Casemiro) have been laughable and he keeps going back to Holland for players. This is an epic time to be a City fan.
We have nothing to worry about from the Rags as long as John Murtough is Director of Football and Darren Fletcher is their Technical Director.
