For all De Gea's high profile errors he has still literally kept them closer to the top than the Mid table their shite play deserved.

Think they will regret this and they will be worse next season.
I thought they were going to mount a challenge.....

We are obviously their biggest rivals. The obsessive behavior of the people running their club says it all. We hired Guardiola and they desperately hired Mourinho to one up us, even though he was 100% the wrong choice if they wanted to replace Van Gaal with a possession oriented manager. Then they tried to one up us over Sanchez, which was the definition of pettiness and turned into another disaster. Then Fred, Maguire, the desperation to get Sancho to once again try to show us up. And let's not forget the frenzy when Ronaldo was linked to us, which also turned into a disaster and cratered their season once again.

I don't see them trying to hijack Liverpool's deals or trying to constantly one up them.

Moyes rightly picked up which way the clubs were headed and said something along the lines of "We need to be more like City" after we battered them 4-1 and they absolutely pilloried him.

I do recall travelling to Manchester for the final game of the 2013-14 season. Every United fan, I encountered when travelling from Parr’s Wood to the match, wished City the best of luck in the title race.

It probably indicates that most United fans are still living long ago in the days when United and Liverpool were still relevant.
No. That's purely because the rags didn't want Liverpool to catch them up with title wins.

The dip hatred is in the main just another way of trying to show how they don't care about us....it's all bollocks, we know that & they know that.

I can accept with the way their brains work (I know I know) that they'd have liked to have won the most titles because selected bits of history is really important apparently.

Out of towners/foreign fans don't necessarily get the City/united thing as we're just another name, sad fairweather ones will be anti dip but the ones that matter know it's as it's always been us against them.

In conclusion, fuck off you raggy SCUM.

A WhatsApp group I am in had them posting tributes to De Gea on Saturday afternoon when he announced his departure. I highlighted that the blue side would miss him due to his record of most derby goals conceded by any United keeper, was greeted with replies such as ‘knob head’ and ‘cock’. They can’t banter back, City have well and truly broken them and took away the only thing they could brag about with the treble. What a time to be alive, getting a dubious penalty in a cup final is their only hope that they can compete with City.
