The fact Utd fans are complaining about "VAR being corrupt" for exposing the sort of decisions their club got away with all the time in the 2000's especially, speaks volumes about their levels of delusion.

Because apparently, exposing their cheating behaviour is bad.
Funny thing is there were no bad decisions last night, the red card was correct and the penalty was correct based on UEFA's strict handball interpretation, they got a pen in the second half for the same reason, and contrary to Ten Hag's nonsensical claims Onana's view was not blocked by an offside player in the first goal.

Imagine how they will act if actual bad decisions are made against them.

Think they're finished at the top level under this regime. And it's not just about money. They spend fucking loads of money - on managers, on the team and players. But the culture at the club is rotten and that kind of malaise is really hard to turn around once it's set in. You only have to look at the Greenwood and Anthony fiascos and how they were handled; what happened with Ronaldo and De Gea before they left the club and what will inevitably happen with Sancho; the stadium rotting from the inside with leaky roofs and clogged drains; under-performing members of staff (from the first team to the backroom staff and board of governors) taking home huge salaries for poor work. There's no real drive at the club, no willingness to really reach the elite again. They're still going to be good enough to finish in the top half of the Premier League every season, occasionally finishing in the European spots and making it to the last rounds of different cup competitions - but being good enough to win titles year on year, to really claim back their reputation as the top dogs in Manchester, sorry but that chance has gone. They will inevitably climb back above City at some point in the future, maybe 10 or 20 or even 30 years from now (who would have thought during the 90s that we'd one day be the best team in Manchester?), but not under the Glazers, and even if Ratcliffe gets full control he'll need to completely transform the club. I think the realisation has really set in since their 3-1 defeat at Arsenal that this is just it for them for the foreseeable. 4th-8th in the Premier League, maybe a run at the domestic cups if the draws fall right, maybe a run at the Europa League every few years. It's not a bad life, and proper Reds will understand that - those that followed them in the 70s will still go and sing like they always have - but their armchair fans will give up on them and the army of "700 million supporters worldwide" will dwindle and drift back over to Madrid, Barca, PSG, etc. and City and Newcastle as the order changes. I once predicted in 2014, mostly as a joke, that we'd win our 20th league title before they claimed their 21st. Looks like that will happen now.
Great post. Irrelevant as a footballing entity but box office for comedy gold. Makes me laugh every time I see Maguire starting. He's like that kid at school that gets a game because you don't have enough players. Running in the wrong direction, bumping into other players, square boots, square head and doing a knee slide to the fans when he wins a throw in.

According to Poundland Pep its only going to take one moment for things to change in their favour.
Er..... one moment v Wolves, one moment v Forest, one moment v Copenhagen (H), one moment v Fulham. All went in their favour.
How many "one moments" does he want ?
They have lost 9/17 games but that could easily be 13/17

It does make you wonder if there's more to it, his extended break in Holland for supposed "mental health" reasons looks ever more dubious.

Why was EtH willing to be so supportive and understanding of someone with supposedly "mental health" issues back then yet now he's prepared to humiliate and vilify him, it makes no sense.

Well, whatever went on behind the scenes, it was still Sancho's decision to come out and essentially call his manager a liar on his social media.

Tent Peg only said Sancho wasn't performing in training, so he's not playing. It's not any worse than Pep coming out and saying Phillips was overweight so he's not playing.

But I would be disappointed in any City player that came out and called Pep a liar on their Twitter because of the decisions and reasons he gave as a manager who picks the team, even if they disagree with him or even if they felt his reasons weren't the complete truth in their eyes.

So I've got to say I think Sancho made the situation much worse for himself. Maybe he is just a lazy **** In training. Maybe his manager tried different methods with him, like sent him to Holland etc and his effort is still lacking, so he's had enough in the end.

If I had to put money on it, I'd say Sancho just has a poor attitude.

Tbf to the guy. he is completely adrift there. It must be really difficult to say something positive when you see your team capitulate every week. He must be running out of things to say other than that they are all crap.

Maguire is playing well apparently despite the defence conceding 10 goals in its last 4 games !

This fuss about the red card is just typical United/Media. Pundits (all with links to them) - he didn’t mean it.

I’m sure he didn’t mean it but ultimately he stamped his leg down without looking where it was going and his leg was quite wide anyway if he was just looking to protect the ball. The fact he wasn’t looking means it is dangerous to do that with the force he used and he was rightly sent off for me. Had that been one of our players the pundits would have been unanimous in there “correct decision” assessment.

They are getting plaudits for the way they played in a game against a championship level side. Is losing a 2-0 lead and 3-2 lead to lose the game and concede 4 goals playing well? The media are still so desperate to see them do well. It’s tragic.
To be fair, most defenders would struggling in their set up.

Their number 6 is always ASOL, whoever it is, creating a huge space in the middle.
