Good point. Hadn't realised how high they were in La Liga, but there has been no mention in the media of City not being in the CL if we finish lower in the PL than Girona do in Spain.

Yeah. Think I read that Girona have been licensed to play by UEFA but not sure exactly what that means

If United get bounced out and play in the Thursday Night Cup they could end up playing Liverpool in the final in Dublin if they both get there..
Dublin would be one place I would stay away from and the trouble they had there last week would come nowhere near what would happen if those two got to the Final..
Also I honestly believe that final would be more relevant and grabb more headlines than this seasons Champions League Final around the world. .

The difference is Real v Barca would have no trouble. Rags v dips would have thousands trying to jib in, thousands stealing tickets from their own fans, thousands fighting each other over some pretend rivalry. Waiters would be assaulted, locals pushed into fountains, the police would be assaulted by the permanently offended, I could go on but suffice to say it would make Rourkes Drift look like a Teddy bears picnic and the compo claims will keep solicitors in work for years because, don't forget, it will be Uefa/Garda/Government/City's fault.

It’s amazing how they think……

Of course it will be all over sky, bbc & daily mail & the socials so they’ll comfort themselves that it absolutely must be true.

The reality would be they’d get paid fuck all from the TV & commercial deals would be a fraction which kind of tells you that people won’t pay to be associated with it because it’s second rate, inferior product & not the show piece with the best teams.

When you compare a standard £40 fine to a minimum wage workers weekly earnings, then compare 5% of that cars worth to his weekly earnings.. the minimum wage earner is still getting far more harshly punished.

Under your proposal a minimum wage earner would have to be driving a car worth no more than about £200 in order for it to be a fair and equitable punishment!

I’m open to changing the figures, it was more highlighting the drop in the ocean that £40 was to footballers.

Maybe link it to salary instead.
