That Brentford win with 2 goals in late Fergie time (when they did the lap of honour) really did more than paper over the cracks.
As did that penalty save v Copenhagen.

It gave the team amd their fans the cruel hope that the corner had been finally turned and that it was all plain sailing from now on.
Today simply highlighted how far behind they are

I think City, Liverpool and Arsenal are for sure better than us. I had mentioned the other day you could easily throw Villa and Newcastle in there too. If Chelsea get a striker them too

To be honest I'd rather finish tenth playing brilliant football than getting fourth playing turgid shite. It's just like a breath of fresh air playing decent football again!! Its been a painful few years

Seriously you may have a point. In the early days of Sheikh Mansour take over players joined City to prove something. That seems to have continued. Certain media try to belittle City as not being history boys. It just encourages success.
