'This is Manchester United'.

It is Gary, it truly is.

Your team are like the faded film star, caking on makeup to try desperately not to show their age, but knowing within their hearts that the glory days will never return.

So by all means spend your evenings watching endless DVD replays of the class of 92, and pretending that 1992 is 2023.

You know the truth.

That Brentford win with 2 goals in late Fergie time (when they did the lap of honour) really did more than paper over the cracks.
As did that penalty save v Copenhagen.

It gave the team amd their fans the cruel hope that the corner had been finally turned and that it was all plain sailing from now on.
Today simply highlighted how far behind they are

Sincerely hope you keep up your current form , just to wind up the over emtional Gooners , you dont have any cup distactions so i expect you to be in the mix with the Dippers to push us all the way , but please do not start getting carried away like those pathetic tossers at the Emirates

I feel like we are punching above our weight, and still 1-2 players shy. Losing Kane was and is still huge, you can't rely on one goal a season wonder Richarlason lol

I think City, Liverpool and Arsenal are for sure better than us. I had mentioned the other day you could easily throw Villa and Newcastle in there too. If Chelsea get a striker them too

To be honest I'd rather finish tenth playing brilliant football than getting fourth playing turgid shite. It's just like a breath of fresh air playing decent football again!! Its been a painful few years

Good luck for the season mate!!

It's ego.

"This is Manchester United", "This shouldn't happen to Manchester United" that we hear all the time, it runs up and down the club.

It can't be a co-incidence that so many players turn into complete cunts when they join, as well as not looking as good. They're told "Hey, you play for Manchester United, you must be the best in the world". It kills that desire to prove, to fight, to win. They don't need to win to prove anything. Why? Because they play for Manchester United. The greatest club. They must already be a success.
Seriously you may have a point. In the early days of Sheikh Mansour take over players joined City to prove something. That seems to have continued. Certain media try to belittle City as not being history boys. It just encourages success.
