With lots of clubs having new stadium and training grounds to pull of utd must be getting less and less.

Surely if you had the chance of working at a state of the art complex or a run down dump living of pasted reputation, its state of the art for me. Unless you ate going to pay me way over the odds to come to your dump.

Great isnt it lol

No matter what we think of de donut he has def got them out of the shit with some outrageous saves, yeh he’s dropped clangers like most keepers but who wouldn’t with that shitshow of a defence in front of them.

Let’s see how long it takes the rags to backtrack after onanas first few dropped bollocks.

Also typical rag behaviour the way they have treated him.

So much for loyalty eh.

An absolute basket case of a club, they put him on stupid money after the Madrid fax machine fiasco. I wonder if he had regrets of not getting his move back then, he could have had 4-5 champions league medals. He was more than happy to stay there and rinse them of money, whilst achieving not much.

A WhatsApp group I am in had them posting tributes to De Gea on Saturday afternoon when he announced his departure. I highlighted that the blue side would miss him due to his record of most derby goals conceded by any United keeper, was greeted with replies such as ‘knob head’ and ‘cock’. They can’t banter back, City have well and truly broken them and took away the only thing they could brag about with the treble. What a time to be alive, getting a dubious penalty in a cup final is their only hope that they can compete with City.
Always the way with scum fans... very, very good at giving it out but can't take it at all.

Over on the football section of the Pistonheads forum you'll find united fans regularly 'bantering' other teams threads on there, in particular City and Liverpool, but if anyone dares to go on the united thread and offers a contrary opinion or gives out a bit of banter they're instantly met with all manner of vile vindictive personal abuse, accused of being mentally ill and 'probably a paedo' etc etc as well as usually being reported to the mods in an attempt to get them banned from the forums.

What have United got to offer to an elite player *at all* other than cash?

Shit stadium. Average coach. Average players. Little chance of winning anything apart from maybe fluking an odd cup.

How are they a bigger pull than say Spurs?

At least Spurs have flashy new facilities.

Yep. Mercenary United, nothing new.

I completely disagree. Da gea was holding them back massively imo. He was a fairly good shot stopper but he never came for crosses, was stuck on his line meaning United defence had to defend deeper, his distribution was woeful and he was very suspect at saving long shots. There is a reason Spain never picked him.

Onana will allow them to play a lot more effectively from the back and he will play the sweeper role which in turn will mean they defend better. United have finally entered the modern era of goalkeeping

Maybe they have in terms of keeper.
But look at the 4 clowns in the defence.
Case closed

Well the rags may have found their 'rush goalie' (one for the foc's) but I can see him being employed way more than they anticipated due to the dodgy defence they have.
Hopefully they'll finish around 6th this season.

Scum.

We are obviously their biggest rivals. The obsessive behavior of the people running their club says it all. We hired Guardiola and they desperately hired Mourinho to one up us, even though he was 100% the wrong choice if they wanted to replace Van Gaal with a possession oriented manager. Then they tried to one up us over Sanchez, which was the definition of pettiness and turned into another disaster. Then Fred, Maguire, the desperation to get Sancho to once again try to show us up. And let's not forget the frenzy when Ronaldo was linked to us, which also turned into a disaster and cratered their season once again.

I don't see them trying to hijack Liverpool's deals or trying to constantly one up them.

Moyes rightly picked up which way the clubs were headed and said something along the lines of "We need to be more like City" after we battered them 4-1 and they absolutely pilloried him.
Spot-on. And they seem so defensive about “us not being their rival” even though we have been bitter rivals since 1894. Anyone born and brought up in Manchester knows what it’s like at school and every workplace. The LFC rivalry was manufactured to squeeze more money out of overseas fans. It didn’t really exist before the late 1980s.

Before Munich, fans of City and united often went to watch both clubs, whilst favouring one or the other. The disaster then brought a huge swell of interest in united from different quarters.

But City were always their rival.

As you rightly say, the rivalry with the dippers was simply a money making campaign which hadn't been there before.

Anyway, both clubs and their supporters are pretty " hollow" in terms of allegiance, whipped up by money.

Another rag "supporter" crawling out of the woodwork.

When asked what he watches on TV, celebrity chef and restaurateur Michel Roux says: "Rugby - or Manchester United, if they're on".

In othwr words,a typical celeb who knows nothing about football, and has no conneection with the north-west, but thinks that Man Utd are worth watching because ..........I can't actually think why. Does he think it's "cool"?

Stick to cooking, Michel - or, as they say in your country, "Ta gueule, con".........

The part about manufacturing their rivalry with Liverpool is true... look back to 1992 when the Rags won their first PL... Liverpool fans openly mocked them with Banners saying "Come Back When You've Won 18" ...it came back to bite them on the arse of course, but the Liverpool fans didn't see them as "big rivals", the Rags were just jealous that Liverpool had more silverwere ...a Red I worked with years ago said he always hated going to Goodison worse than Anfield! There has always been a Manchester/Liverpool rivalry, but that includes us and Everton as well as those two!
Re us and our Rivalry with them... it wasn't always bitter... in fact in our early years, we helped them out big-time... blocking Manchester Central's league application to help our smaller cross-city neighbour United, wanting our best players to go to them when the league did us (including Billy Meredith), giving them kit, letting them use Maine Road etc. etc... yet they never returned the kindness to us, which probably makes us hate them even more tbh!
I've also seen the bedroom boys on social media claim rivalries with teams like Arsenal etc., over us - i'd love to know what they base these rivalries on – Liverpool for example, we have had more title battles with them than the Rags!

They're going to try and play out from the back now he's gone aren't they.

This'll be a fucking riot. Next season can't start soon enough and there isn't enough popcorn in the known universe.
Hmmm let's have a look at what could very easily happen

Wolves (H) 3 points....Going to win the league with Mount & a new swagger to their play.
Spurs (A) 1 point....Difficult away game (don't we know) but caught out playing from the back.
Forest (H) 3 points....Few iffy moments but a penalty gets them over the line.
Arse (A) 0 points...aspire to be at the Arse level, again caught out at the back...early days yet.
Brighton (H) 0 points...Hmm they've been playing under a good managers system for a long time.
Burnley (A) 1 point...Ran their luck but managed a point when GGG or whatever shows 3-1 home win
Palace (H) 3 points...corner turned, going to win the league again
Brentford (H) 1 point...still struggling with passing out but an Intentional break will sort that out.

So 2 titles challenges already & a wonderful 12 points from 24 in the bag, bang mid table with CL games to worry about.

Something tells me it's not going to be their year again.

Tick Tock SCUM.

Had a £10 double or quits bet on who would finish higher in the league with a rag mate the season after they last won the league. Anyway he chickened out after 3 years giving me £40, would be worth quite a few quid now.

The clue is in the fact he watches rugby or the rags as the experience is no doubt similar.
