There was a release clause in place. Somewhere between 45-55m, apparently. Strange that they let him go for 35m, though, given he had two years left on his contract. If he was going into the final year, you could understand it.

It’s up to 55m, Tony Bloom is no mug, he’ll have extracted to max he could. Mac Allister has his limitations, he’s no where near the quality of our first choice midfielder’s. He won a World Cup Medal but City would have beaten that Argentina side.
 
Just seen their new kit being launched and they’ve replaced their badge with just a devil.

Maybe the penny’s dropped..
