as crazy as house pricing is, valuing 400 acres in salford at 3.5b is somewhat of a stretchWell it doesn't make much sense, does it? You'd think that the asset has already reached it's pinnacle in value. If the starting point was 3.5bn.
But throughout this process, people have become fixated on the stadium and the training facilities in Carrington, when the full package includes a huge area of land that they could potentially develop, especially on the Trafford side of the waterfront, at Salford Quays. The Metrolink already goes through there so the transport links are in. There is also a huge demand for living accommodation in and around media city, where house prices have gone crazy in the last decade.
There's definitely more to it than just a football club.
They bought the 26 acre freight terminal site for 11m in 2010.I seriously doubt they'd own the Manchester transport freight land rights. Are you sure about this?
Maybe...maybe, their gameplay all along has been to milk the ageing cash cow until it dies, deliberately running it into the ground, then sell-off the land for development after another 20 years of appreciation? The Glazers actually own a sizeable chunk of Trafford Park/Salford Quays. Over 40 acres of land. They own the freight terminal near the stadium as well. If someone with unlimited wealth, got hold of all of that, they could actually make something spectacular. This is something not often mentioned in the sale, but the Qatari's will be all over it.

I’m sure he could be sacked for bringing the club’s name into disrepute or breaking its terms and conditions of employment or something along those lines. It’s really not tricky at all mate, it’s actually incredibly simple
Sack the horrible ****, then see if he dares to take you to court, where his ‘alleged’ misdemeanours would again be the topic of conversation
Alternatively, pay him off to get rid
They’d have been a lot more if he didn’t play for the Spanish rags.Would have been ideal for him there as all those red cards he has picked up during his career would only be yellows for the Rags
Everton? An ideal situation now would be for the Qatari's to move on to another club, removes another future option for the rags and hopefully pushes them down the pecking order.
So you’ve forgotten our relegation in 1983?what thirty years are these?
they dominated from 1993 to 2013
Would it get planning.. that's the questionWell it doesn't make much sense, does it? You'd think that the asset has already reached it's pinnacle in value. If the starting point was 3.5bn.
