So surely if Jim the Saviour wants to buy further stakes in united (even though he can't actually afford this one out of his own money) then it's going to be in his best interest for the club to remain shit and the share price to remain depressed?

Yep, you'd think he'd be able to afford it with the 4 billion he saved by being a tax-dodging ****. Personally, I wouldn't let him back in the country. Want to move to Monaco? Fine, stay there.

Rat boy has finally had his say on yesterday’s news. His non-negotiables? Who the fuck does he think he is?

Given the fact that Neville now has his united themed Trafford hotel he effectively has a financial interest that hinges on the club being relevant and successful... so on that basis how can he remain an "impartial" commentator?

Haha first positive from Ratcliffe is he is going to make it a 90k and revamp the stadium! So another 15k added to the sardine shithole! Yeah that will happen!?

City need to get in quickly and buy up some of the terraced houses on the other side of the railway line because that's the only direction that they can expand significantly without demolishing the whole shit-tip and starting from scratch.

In a world of turmoil (to put it mildly) its good to see some thing will never change and even better that the masses are finally seeing it :-)

The nights are drawing in, there is a chill in the air and people are scraping ice from their car windscreens first thing in the morning. Autumn has been and gone and now the cold, cruel winter is upon us and everybody is turning the heating up a notch or two. But City fans (and many non-City fans) can sit back and relax, we can all enjoy the warm glow of the karma that is now enveloping that festering, stagnant pit of poison called the swamp.
We can put our feet up and lie back in our comfy armchairs and allow our minds to drift back in time: back to a time when we were a 'small club with a small mentality,' when we were told we'd achieve nothing 'in his lifetime,' and they even put up a huge banner mocking our lack of success. A time when we were mocked by the people at Sly Snorts because Buzzer told them all in no uncertain terms that the tide will turn.

It has turned...and some.

Now you raggy bastards can have your own winter of discontent. Your tears of anguish will be like a fucking monsoon once you realise the tables have turned for good.

SCUM.

Can anybody explain how jim'll jinx it buying 25% helps them?

He's giving 12.5% to existing (fan) shareholders. So United get 0%.
He's giving 12.5% to the Glazers for their shares. So United get 0%.
The debt isn't being serviced with this money.

FFP rules are still in place, meaning spending is based on income.
So how exactly is this deal helping them?

I don't think Jim'll Jinx is motivated to help them. His goal is to help himself. He seems to crave attention.

So 25 percent ownership gets you the opportunity to run the whole footballing operation, the most important denominator of a football club’s ability to make money. I call bullshit on that, do you think the Glazers would give scruffy Jim carte blanch to start spending more money on transfer fees, contract extensions, what happens in the academy and who is the actual manager? Way things are going one of the new shareholders to do list will have sack Ten Hag and hire Giggsy till May at the top of it.

That was a great watch - a very unhappy man - he missed out on his Crispy Duck at the Chinese Restaurant when he headed the news about Sir Jim's success.

Presumably he's actually concerned that their demise will be sufficiently rapid that it knackers his business model. With his "it's our fault we've been divided" line is he positioning himself as some sort of rag Tecumseh who is going to lead the resistance? Fair play to Di Cesare, he knows his audience and gives them what they want.

If Jim'll Jinx It buys into United then they will be partly owned by a tax dodging cheat.

Ratcliffe, a petrochemicals magnate with an estimated £17.5bn fortune, officially changed his tax domicile from Hampshire to Monaco, the sovereign city-state that is already home to many of the UK's richest people. It has been estimated that the move will save him £4bn in tax payments.

It's like having Del Boy Trotter or Arthur Daley in charge.
United will run out to a well known TV theme tune no doubt....

"No income tax, no VAT...."

And their fans wonder why the Glazers don't engage with their supporters.

"Here's a starter for 16" ?

Bellend doesn't even understand how University Challenge works either!
You can bet he watches it too, in an attempt to make himself feel clever when he occasionally gets the modern music question correct.
