Slightly off topic but I was listening to talkshite on the way to work yesterday
(Yeh I know) and shouty mentioned there are 10 American owned clubs in the prem.
I didn’t know this. I was thinking no wonder we’ve had trouble getting the votes we needed for the APT deals.
Was shouty Jim right or have I misheard.

A ten second Google search reveals....

https://theconversation.com/why-ame...eague's,varying degrees of American ownership.

Four clubs fully owned by Americans, and another 7 with American investment including City.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed they have had almost all their PL games so far this season televised? Do they get extra money for games that are on tv does anyone know? Irrc they have been sailing close to the wind in relation to FFP. Extra tv money might help them a little bit to not fall foul of FFP. Am I right, or am I wrong?
I'd say right.
Also they must get royalties for every time they're called by their full title during games.
Manchester United this, Manchester United that.
Sometimes over 60 times in a game

That is the rub Matey
Sky sports made Manchester United because they were and still are shown live every week,
it's why they top the Premier League earnings every year, they get more revenue from Sky sports for live matches.

It hand in glove, and why they run the campaign against the Super League was outside at united ground ?

Last season they got 25 of their 38 games televised.

Arsenal the most with 28.

City also 25 games.

This is only premier league games.

I have just witnessed yet another example of shite and inaccurate " journalism " from the daily mirror.

It criticises Pep for his " arrogance" and " petulant response to the anfield crowd" yesterday.

Not that I necessarily agree but can accept it as an opinion.

Hoever, the arsewipe writing the piece went on to compare the sporting way in which the Govan Bully accepted defeat, despite how painful that might have been , seeing as he was managing the biggest club in the world.

The pathetic **** who composed that utter shite, should be fucking ridiculed and exposed together with the editor of the worst and most inaccurate element of an article in history of misrepresentation of truth.

The Govan Bully being help up as a paragon of sporting behaviour is beyond honesty and objectivity on any known scale, and only a sycophant and idiot would ever claim that to be true.
I’ve read some bollocks in my time but this is ludicrous.
