Increase in ticket prices for the new season to watch that shite and the numpties will still turn up, Jim really taking the piss

Drink it in :)

Was just going to post the same …

“Manchester United fans have accused the club of giving fans a "kick in the teeth" after announcing matchday ticket prices could reach £97.
The most expensive matchday tickets at Old Trafford last season were £66.”

A 50% INCREASE on some match day tickets, to watch what is highly likely to be a team in the bottom 3 after the first 6 games.

The death spiral continues.

The inevitable result of FFP/PSR, as soon as one club goes overboard with ticket prices the pressure will be on everyone else to keep up (regional variations/London weighting notwithstanding).

There is a saturation point where a business has wrung out all it can wring out of punters, the rags hopefully have hit that now.

Yeah, you'd expect them to be getting close, that might be why they've raised the prices though.
The locals have been priced out or got bored of the shit football but they know they can charge the tourists more to make up the missing money so less people in the stadium but the same income per match.

If ever the gap between us was in doubt.

City may not get everything right with pricing but this lot take the piss.

Are they still charging full price for kids too?

Those Zebra pants and men with 3 sets of eyebrows will be out again if they aren't careful ;-)

The problem with the policy of relying on tourists paying high prices is that its longevity relies heavily on word of mouth, people visiting and saying to everyone they meet how great the experience was. That's dependent on a variety of factors such as quality of football, the star quality of the players quality of stadium and hospitality, the atmosphere, the nature of the local fans and much else besides.

So united's issue is that their football is shit, they have no world class players, the stadium is a shit-hole, the hospitality is rat-infested, the atmosphere is toxic and the local fans are sub-normal. No tourist is ever going to come back for more, so the pool of suckers is ever-dwindling.
