I actually tend to agree, i'm just loathe to.

United have spent decades building up that 'support network' in the media, feeding bullshit to their masses about how this is a 'temporary blip', 'this is Manchesniteh we're talking about' soundbites etc, and their goons lap it up and keep sending them cash, despite the anti-Glazer rhetoric.

I've been hearing it for years; United are broke, they're in debt, they've got nothing left. What's this? Another unethical £150m spending on players that hasn't worked? Oh they must really be in the shit now!....but nothing ever materialises. No punishments, no fines, no points deductions. Right now they're just shit, but they're rich and shit.

Will they ever be the dominant force they once were? No, I doubt that, but it's dependant on that debt finally coming to bite them on the arse, dismantling their 'empire' that they regrettably still have, selling off all their assets, academy and infrastructure just to pay it off with no discernable way to rebuild. Because until that has gone, they will still have a way back, and it's a question of when not if. I need them relegated and spending at least 5 years in the Championship for me to consider them truly dead. And if you say to yourself "that'll never happen, though", that's kind of the point.
You make some very good points here.

I've had the debate about whether the rags will get relegated or not. I honestly don't think it matters either way. I was like you initially in that I needed them to be relegated to give me the satisfaction of "yes! they're really finished now."

However, Everton are one of five clubs (I think) that have never been relegated from the premier league and they don’t pose a threat to the top four.

I posted on here the other day that as long as the rags remain in the Premier League the pressure will continue to increase for them to return to their "rightful" place in the division.

The British media (who think they're helping their cause) will ultimately destroy any hope of their salvation due to the constant glare of the public onlookers.

Have you ever tried to fix something or even carry out a simple task when people are watching you?

Times that by about sixty million and ask yourself "have the rags got what it takes to turn this shit around?"

When these fuckers die it'll bring about the end of the football we now know with its obscene spending by seemingly every club driven by these parasites trying to stay at the top of the pile.

Mud and thunder back please and let it start with the financial death of the vermin football "Royalty".

I thought this lad was the new Cantona?

Zirkzee says he's like Zlatan - he's ready to make a name for himself https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...tml?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton

Oh I beg your pardon, it's Cantona, Ronaldinho and Ibrahimovic.
So that's...

Cunha is the new Cantona
Zirkzee, the new Zlatan
Phil Jones, was the new Duncan Edwards
Januzai, the new Giggs
Wasn't Stuart Pearson, the new Best?
Feilaini was the new Keane (and their very own Yaya)

I'm sure there were more.

Although they finished low in the league last season, they've actually been top six in 9 of the last 11 seasons , although outside it for the last two. The signs all point to a team going further into decline.

However, they are a big club and it's not out of the question they'll get back into the top 6 pretty soon.

It's nice to enjoy their decline but once a club of that size get back in those positions, if they do end up getting it right, you can't rule out them being contenders again.

Obviously they're nowhere near the days of Sir Alex, but clubs can decline and bounce back. Liverpool weren't winning league titles for decades until recently.
When you say decline and bounce back.
Bounce back to what.
An average mid table side .
Sir Alex.
My fucking arse
