I was going to say; were they ever realistically in the title race? Even most rags fans, the ones who don't have their heads wedged firmly up their arses (or anyone else's) would say that they were never going to be title contenders. They're years away from that.

Hopefully next season they'll be up there.

All I'll say is when TMM won the old first division title back in 1990,if you'd told their fans they'd have to wait 30 years for their next one, they'd have had you locked up. Come the end of this season, it'll be 12 years since "The World's Greatest Club"™ last won the PL. After winning it 7 or 8 (?) times in the previous 12.
