The rags scouting system
used to be, "Who are City in for?'
"Well, we'll have him then. City are inferior to us and we're going to use our financial muscle and 'istree to make sure said player comes to us."
This worked for them until the likes of Maguire and Sanchez went there.....
But under that piss-saturated Glaswegian despot their mantra was: "If we want one of your players we will HAVE one of your players."

Emergency centre back? Has he been masquerading as a centre forward for the last decade?

Crazy idea. The fossil is their best centre back, so why would you even think about playing a pensioner at full back?
I’ll give the fossil the credit he’s due.

Starred in the 6-1 as a youngster. Made a half decent career for himself, and has been one of the rags most useful players in his late 30s, no doubt taking nice fat wages off them.

It’s very likely he will play against us in this seasons first derby, some 13 years after said 6-1.

I don’t know of any club who can vouch for that, let alone the biggest club in the world (TM).

Phenomenal.

It almost makes our potential signing of JFE rational as a backup.

Almost.

This is what the silly rag bastards dont get. They think the fan base will last forever but the fact is, kids today dont care that united used to be good, my youngest 2 (12 and 9) actually didnt even know they used to be good!

When i was at school and uniteds trajectory was on the rise every kid who either wasnt into to football initially or didnt have a dad or whatever to push them to support a certain team chose united.
Now its about turn.
They choose city.

I can think of A LOT of examples (through kids school mates and coaching u10s so i fair example) of kids whos dads arent into football or dads are not from round here choosing city. But none united

When I first started going to games in the early 90’s, I had no idea about Liverpool and their success over the years prior. First I kind of noticed was when I got the PL sticker albums and it listed all the trophies each club had won. Still, it had absolutely no barring on how I saw them - as a team with a decent chance of maybe a UEFA cup spot. In my younger head Blackburn and Newcastle were a bigger deal when it came to the title race than Liverpool.

Fucking hell totally forgot about Zirkzee

Would have been better off buying a used Deal or No Deal fruit machine off Gumtree and just plonking it on the edge of the box.
Kirkzee is totally shite. Looks below a Championship level player. Liam Delap is light years ahead of him as a player at Ipswich.

It's weird, it's like they are deliberately buying below-average players at ridiculously over inflated prices for some reason. They have spent billions in the last ten years or so on utter garbage, and have ended up having to sell those players on at a loss - despite already having so much debt they have been forced to lay off staff in order to pay the bills.
