I doubt scruffy Jim is thinking about the spectre of the pisscan stopping them moving on from the past and his time in charge.It's arguably a step in the right direction if they've realised the negative affect he's having, and aren't just doing this as another cost saving exercise like sacking half their staff
He’s probably only concerned with saving the £2 million+ that the rags are shelling out to the Govan bully every year.

It might be a good thing for them in the long run, but I doubt it’s been done to remove his shadow from the club. It’ll have been done to scrimp and save a few quid.
