Leverkusen winning the Bundesliga was celebrated worldwide outside the Bayern fan base, especially by the media, but when anyone gets in the way of United, the media get all glum.

Still, fuck em, I love pissing the pen-pushing brigade off, even if this season it’s most likely the turn of the dippers.
Eh, they haven't won the title in 12 years. They haven't been moved out of the way, they've emigrated to Australia!!

The cycle looks to have sped up.

Already to the point where he's shot his bolt in laying down the absolute law...only to realise that he can only replace shit in the team with other shit because the rags have no money to buy new shit, nobody wants to move (salary)/buy them, they're all on long contracts (in some cases probably still longer than than his, certainly long enough to get another manager sacked) and they've played this waiting game before...
Scare tactics to get their agents twitching and looking for new clubs. But it will be nothing more than a cut-price yard sale. Amorim will bring in new players, and they will be for his system. But they can't ever do it the same way that Brighton or Bournemouth do, because as soon as they hear who it is, the price goes from 20m to 70m. Because they have a reputation for being hopeless in the transfer market.

Scruffy Jim thought he could sneak players in the back door from Nice, but Uefa scuppered those plans, so they will forever be in this stalemate of not being able to sell or buy.

These dickheads should be our warning sign to get our recruitment right

You can't deny they were a force a couple of decades ago, like we have been for the last decade. but recruiting shite has made them far away from what they once were. They spent fortunes on shite. It's not like they weren't backed financially to get players in, despite their complaints about the owners.

We're at a stage now where we recruit properly and get back on top, or poor recruitment will send us on the path the these lot have been on for a while, unable to compete.

As I’ve said several times already.

Our exploits over the last four seasons have taken their toll, both mentally and physically on just about every memorable of the squad.

Its no coincidence that Erling, who had the summer off, has been one of our fittest players this season.

I think the key is to keep refreshing the squad. There was a stat the other day that over the last 3 seasons that Brighton have won at OT, they have used 33 different players.

That says a lot about keeping your foot to the floor, while swapping the drivers. This is probably the way to go now. Having a constant churn of players bought for a certain system, to keep the energy levels up.

Very true. Something similar can happen to us!!

Possible, but we are run by capable professionals not incompetent morons like that lot.
Very true. I know the club is in capable hands that have their priorities straight. Having said that our drop off this season has been alarming. It just goes to show you how utterly remarkable our achievements have been !! Also, how little credit the club has received.

We are making signings now that probably should have happened in the summer. I think we took our eye off the ball a little this summer and we did not anticipate the level of injuries plus the fast decline of the likes of Walker/KDB. By putting things right at the next available opportunity tells you we won't have a United style fall off - ensuring these are the right signings. We are too well run to fall off a cliff, we will always be there and this a learning curve for similar situations in future

And how many of the moronic pundits can’t see the reason for our current situation.

It really can’t be difficult to understand that the intensity needed to win four in a row, which also included the Treble, was eventually going to take its toll, both mentally and physically.

Or maybe they can, and it serves their purpose to ignore it.

Even though we are having a tough time it’s wonderful to have the comfort blanket of knowing the Rags are fucking useless in all aspects of the clubs operation.
Lot of truth there BUT it was so more enjoyable rubbing their noses in our trophy successes do to speak.

I usually do watch the Rags like I would a car race-just to not miss a spectacular crash!!

This, so much faith now. No impulse buying defenders from WImbledon for millions for show. All these players identified last year, decision taken to stick with current squad over the summer, acknowledge the Alvarez money was too much to say no to and we go again with the treble winning squad.

From where we have been the last 4 seasons this one is a downgrade, come January agree to bring forward the planned summer recruitment to now. No panic, no firesale, just acceleration of a carefully scouted and constructed re-build of one of the greatest ever teams English football and beyond has seen. Little to no mention in the gossip columns until the deals become public, compare and contrast with the swamp dwellers. Can't buy before they sell, everyone knows this and is waiting to lowball offer, no one touching the over 30's or / and high earners. They are fucked and the Manager knows it, the rest are deluded. Long may it continue.
