In 48 of the last 50 seasons the title has been won by either Sporting, Porto or Benfica. The only other club to have won it was Boavista.

Right but even a cursory knowledge of Portuguese football is enough to know that 90% of those were won by Benfica or Porto. Might as well say Simeone is shite because Real, Barca and Atletico always win La Liga.

Amorim has done a really good job, won their first title in 20 years with half the budget of Benfica and 2/3rds the budget of Porto. Rebuilt the squad after the title winning team got sold off, and the fact he's beaten Arsenal and Spurs and gotten a draw against us with a squad that cost less than Ipswich's is a sign he's not just knocking over weak sides.

He was a good manager before United got linked to him, and he's still a good manager. Probably won't help him at United though.

"That Sweet, Sweet new manager bounce. A win and United could move up six places on Sunday"

That's from the pedo ring the BBC. Why repeat "sweet" twice?, trying to copy Homer Simpson?. The writer also making it obvious who he supports.

Fuck United and fuck the red half of the city. It's fucking blue and after that childish sentence and thinking we care what the newspapers say, I'm not reading or watching anything BBC related ever again.

They've lost a licence payer and website visitor. Time to cancel and I'm doing that right now.

Always nice to out-childish someone.

It doesn't matter what that club do they get wall-to-wall coverage - unless of course it's something a bit iffy.
Sly Sports in particular nailed their colours to the mast 30 years ago, and despite the fact that I stopped subscribing soon after I am led to believe the've reached saturation point with their obsession.
I can truthfully say everybody within my social circle has dropped Sly because of their infatuation with the rags. A few of them told me when cancelling their subscription they were asked why, and their answers were all the same - sick to death of paying for what is essentially RagTV.

And it's exactly the same with the tabloids: since ten-bob was outed every single red top's back pages have been about the rags, why they sacked him, who will be the next sap to take over, what does ratboy Neville think about developments at the swamp. It's overkill, way way too much focus on the one club, making all the other clubs (and of course their fans and boardroom members) feel they are being systematically ignored - which of course they are.

The only explanation is that the rags have people on the inside with lots of brown envelopes ensuring no negative news about the club sees the light of day.
